About Inhance/Fluoro-Seal, Ltd.

Inhance/Fluoro-Seal, Ltd. is the leader in the field of performance additives based on surface modified polymer particles and fibers, which are sold under the INHANCE^® trade name. Use of our products in the manufacture of various end-products results in formation of novel polymer-polymer composites, with properties that can be custom tailored for specific applications. The INHANCE^® Fluoro-Seal business was formed in 2000 with the hiring of Dr. Bernard Bauman, the primary inventor and developer of this class of materials. Prior to this, Dr. Bauman was Chairman and President of Composite Particles, Inc., in Allentown PA, a company that he founded. Composite Particles developed and manufactured a number of surface modified rubber and plastic particle products, and sold these world-wide under the trade name VISTAMER^®. The fundamental technology of reactive gas surface modification, which is the approach used to make our products, was developed in the 1980's at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., under the direction of Dr. Bauman. This new (at that time) class of performance additives was sold by Air Products under the trade name PRIMAX^®.
